About us

Complete Exterior Care is an exterior property care company working across the Tendring area of Essex — Clacton, Frinton, Holland-on-Sea, Walton and the villages between. Roofs, gutters, render, driveways, solar panels and grounds. A team that would rather do a smaller number of properties properly than a larger number quickly.

Why we started

Most exterior work is bought in a panic. Something has already failed — a gutter is running down a wall, moss has lifted a tile, the render has gone green on the north side — and by the time anyone rings, the job is bigger and the damage is done.

It does not have to work that way. A property looked after on a sensible rhythm never reaches that point, and costs less over ten years than the same property fixed twice. That is the whole idea, and everything else follows from it.

How we work

We measure before we quote. Every property is surveyed from Ordnance Survey records — the footprint, the roof pitch, the height to the eaves — so the price you are given is worked out from your building rather than guessed from the kerb. You will see the measurements and where each one came from.

We use the gentlest method that does the job. A roof is scraped and soft-brushed by hand, never pressure washed: blasting a tile strips the fired surface and takes years off its life. Render is treated with a biocide that kills the algae rather than knocking the colour off it. Old buildings get lime-safe products and a test patch first.

And we tell you when you do not need us. A property that has been done recently does not need doing again because we happen to be in the street.
