Terraces in the town centre
The middle of Clacton grew fast after the railway arrived in 1882. Around Church Road, Rosemary Road and Marine Parade, and across the grid of streets behind them, most houses are terraces. Bungalows, Holland-on-Sea and Jaywick

Often, yes, but gutters above shop fronts on busy streets need more setting up. Send us a photo of the front and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it.

My gutter overflows at one corner whenever it rains. Is it blocked?
Usually it's a blockage where the gutter meets the downpipe, or a length that has dropped out of level. We check both and tell you which it is.
Do I need to tell my neighbours?
If we need to use a shared alley or put a ladder near their boundary, a quick word beforehand helps. We never go into a neighbour's garden without their say-so.
